THE BUTCHER

It all started on…

A dark and stormy night when a 150-year-old oak tree fell on my house shaving off the front of my home and narrowingly missing my bedroom. Not realizing how I had escaped death until all the creaking and crashing subsided and I went outside to examine the damage, I was very lucky. This goliath of a tree caused plenty of damage to my front porch knocking out railings and columns with one fell swoosh of a giant branch that swept across the front of the house and yard destroying all in its path. What does this have to do with a Horror short film? I’ll tell you. With all the new damage to my home, I had a lot of work to do so I went to my nearest hardware store and purchased my first ever table saw.

So once I got home and set up the saw, I decided I wanted to start ripping boards through it and trying to repair my home. The saw shrilled and shrieked and cut through the boards with ease. I keep thinking how bad it would hurt if I accidentally got my hand caught in the saw and then like any horror writer, aficionado I started thinking about how perfect of a killing device a table saw would be in the hands of a demented killer. I immediately phoned Justin and began explaining to him a very simplistic version of what is now our newest horror film “The Butcher.” A story of a maniacal old cannibal who crosses paths with two young punks in the worst way possible.
